Youth Dept. Announces KidFest Schedule
Each year, children, adults and children’s ministry volunteers participate in KidFest, a ministry of the Church of God Department of Youth and Christian Education. Excitement rings through buses and vans as they make their way to what has become a weekend of a lifetime!
For many churches, this weekend of uninhibited worship, puppets, crazy characters and skits, dramas, illusions, human videos and of course God’s Word is the weekend that serves not only to minister to the children, but also to rejuvenate the leaders.
This year will not be any different than previous years. About 6000 children and children’s ministry leaders will attend one of the four Kidfest events planned for this spring. Ride the Wave is the theme for this year. Through various methods and means, the children will be reminded that there is a wave of the Holy Spirit and they have the option to ride that wave! Many children will receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and their lives will be forever changed. The Saturday night service of each weekend has become a service of expectation for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. On Friday nights at each event, there will be a Kids Concert with the sensational music group, The Lads. Throughout the weekend, Burning Bush, a Church of God minister in song, will provide a little variety with his hip hop style. Under the dynamic ministry of Kevin McHann (His Word Studio), children and children’s ministry leaders will be challenged through a variety of methods, including characters, puppetry, gospel illusions, drama, music, and lots of surprises! Also on the agenda are Fritzy the Clown and Kevin and his horse, Story.
