General Assembly Prayer Emphasis Announced

Cleveland, TN–In conjunction with the ongoing Priority prayer initiative, the Executive Committee of the Church of God has announced a special, focused time of prayer, specifically for the upcoming International General Assembly, scheduled for July 25-29, 2022.

Beginning Sunday, May 1, General Overseer Tim Hill is calling upon every Church of God leader and layperson to set aside time to seek and intercede for the 78th Assembly, which was postponed from July 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hill cites the urgency of so many important issues and actions set to take place as a reason for calling the corporate body to prayer between May 1-15. This specific focus will culminate on Sunday, May 15 with a Facebook Live event originating from the David C. Blair Prayer Center at 8:00 p.m. EST.

“I invite anyone who feels led to do so to contact me with a specific hour or period in which you will commit to be on your knees,” Hill stated. “This can be one day or several days. Our desire is that this period is bathed in prayer and that His will will be manifest when we gather in San Antonio in July.”
