Winners of 2008 Gospel Music Channel Video Awards

Music videos by Flyleaf, Rascal Flatts, Marvin Sapp and Switchfoot were among the winners of the Gospel Music Channel Music Awards (GMCVAs) unveiled in a special one- hour recently.

Gospel Music Channel Video Award Winners: Best Contemporary Video of the Year – Switchfoot “This Is Home” Best Country Video of the Year – Rascal Flatts “Every Day” Best Hip Hop Video of the Year – Lecrae “Prayin For You” Best Latin Video of the Year – Funky & Alex Campos “No Vuelvo Pa’tras” Best Pop Video of the Year – SONSOFDAY “This Place” Best Rock Video of the Year – Flyleaf “All Around Me” Best Soul Video of the Year – Marvin Sapp “Never Would Have Made It” Gospel Music Channel Video of the Year – Flyleaf “All Around Me”

The Gospel Music Channel television network created the GMCVAs to honor the top videos in seven genre categories as well as the overall Top Video of the Year with winners being determined by viewers and fans through online voting at http://www.GospelMusicChannel.com. Voters chose from nominees in Rock, Country, Soul, Hip Hop, Pop, Contemporary and Latin categories that were determined by the amount of airplay the videos received on Gospel Music Channel during 2008.
