Executive Council Addresses 2020 General Assembly
CLEVELAND, TN: The International Executive Council of the Church of God met on April 14 to consider matters regarding the 2020 General Assembly.
After more than five hours of discussion, the Council gave approval, if necessary, to postpone the July 2020 General Assembly to protect the health and safety of the Church of God family from the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Timothy M. Hill, General Overseer of the Church of God, immediately named a Task Force from within the Executive Council, charging them with the task to address logistical issues, including challenges with elections and potential new dates for the General Assembly, should the postponement of the July 2020 meeting become a reality. The Task Force is set to report its findings and recommendations to the entire Council when they meet in regular session next week, beginning April 20.
All meetings of the International Executive Council have and will take place via video conference due to the recommended COVID-19 guidelines.

CLEVELAND, TN: El Concilio Ejecutivo Internacional de la Iglesia de Dios se reunió el 14 de abril para discutir los asuntos relacionados con la Asamblea General Internacional de 2020.
Tras una discusión de más de cinco horas, el CEI aprobó que, de ser necesario, la Asamblea General Internacional, pautada para julio del corriente, sea pospuesta para proteger la salud de la familia de la Iglesia de Dios de la pandemia de la COVID-19.
El Dr. Timothy M. Hill, supervisor general de la Iglesia de Dios, inmediatamente nombró un comité, compuesto por miembros del Concilio Ejecutivo Internacional, con la tarea de analizar los problemas de logística, incluyendo las elecciones y otras fechas para la celebración de la Asamblea General Internacional, en caso de que fuera pospuesta. El comité reportará sus conclusiones y recomendaciones al CEI durante su sesión ordinaria a partir del 20 de abril del corriente.
Todas las sesiones del Concilio Ejecutivo Internacional han sido y continuarán a distancia, según lo recomendado para la COVID-19.
