Church Leaders to Meet Next Week

Cleveland, TN–State and regional overseers will be meeting in session next week at the International Offices for a “summit,” which will conclude on Tuesday morning in a combined session with the International Executive Council, and the Administrative Ministries Council (AMC).

State overseers begin the summit with dinner on Sunday evening with the Covenant Ministry Teams (CMTs), groups of state and regional leaders led by a member of the International Executive Committee.

The first session begins on Monday morning and is entitled “FINISH Focus: Church on Mission,” with a presentation by General Overseer Tim Hill. Session II on Monday morning will feature Dr. Sam Chand, president and founder of the Leadership Institute. Chand will lead the first afternoon session as well, followed by Tim Miller, President and CEO of Lionheart International Services Group in the second afternoon session. All Monday sessions will include presentations by members of the Executive Committee highlighting the divisions they lead.

On Tuesday, January 21, the International Executive Council will begin their regularly-scheduled January session in a joint meeting with the overseers and members of the Administrative Ministries Council, the group comprised of department leaders and coordinators at the International Offices. The group will hear a report on the results of the survey data revealed from the Global Ministry Forums conducted last year. Women’s Ministries leaders will meet in the World evangelization Center to hear a special presentation from Bruce Deel, founder and CEO of the City of Refuge in Atlanta.

Upon conclusion of that morning session, the overseer’s summit will adjourn and the Executive Council will go into official session.
