Record Crowd Celebrates Church of God Dasmariñas 29th Anniversary

Manila, Philippines – Church of God Dasmariñas, Cavite (COG Dasma) celebrated its 29th anniversary on August 25, 2019 with 19,228 in total attendance.

Specially themed, “Supreme, Make God Known,” the Sunday services happened simultaneously in the main Dasmariñas sanctuary and at four other satellite congregations. As culmination of the church’s week-long celebration activities, with highlights including a Daily Dawn Watch Prayer time, Community Caravans, Medical Missions, a Saturday healing service called Excel and a celebration of Connect 2 Souls (C2S) mentors.

All the events were made possible by the love, commitment and dedication of the diverse and growing ministries of the church.  “In all these years, God has been faithful to us, and I believe that He will continue to do so in the coming years to come. He will give us the harvest that we kept on praying for…BORN AGAIN PILIPINAS!”

Church of God Dasma Senior Pastor and National Overseer Dr. Anthony Velasco shared in one of his messages. “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:9), he admonished.

“COGWM Asia Pacific is so very proud of Dr. Anthony Velasco, his wife Gigi and the amazing congregation in Dasmarinas. It has become one of the brightest and biggest success stories for the Church of God churches in the entire world,” remarked Field Director Andrew Binda.  “We have been anticipating that COG Dasma will breach 20,000 by 2020. Obviously, as evidenced by this year’s anniversary, this great church is almost there,” stated Austral Asia Superintendent Marc Morris.

COG Dasma was planted 29 years ago by the Velasco’s in a 20 square meter bungalow garage next to a pigpen. Since then, God has continuously blessed and used the church in spreading the Gospel, reaching for more souls and also making the church as a lighthouse not only in city of Dasmarinas, but to nearby cities, provinces and the entire country.

In June 2021, COG Dasma will play a key role in helping to host the National Philippine Assembly with the theme “Go Further.” More than 10,000 delegates are anticipated to converge into Manila at the SMX Convention Center.
