Bi-national Meeting of Colombia-Venezuela Pastors to Take Place

Conscious of the social situation that some regions of the South America are going through, the Church of God International Offices, in partnership with the Department of World Missions and the Office of the Church of God Latin America (COGLA), have announced CONNECTION. In order to strengthen ties and strengthen relations of support to the ministerial body of this region, a first encounter of Colombian and Venezuelan pastors will be held later this month.

For many years, the international leadership of the Church of God has been unable to enter Venezuela. With the purpose of generating closeness with the pastors of the nation, the bi-national meeting is taking place. For two days pastors from different regions of Venezuela, will be mobilized to the border of Colombia for a time of spiritual refreshment; consecration and koinonia.

It is the desire of Dr. Angel Marcial, representing the Church of God Latin America, to bless the Venezuelan people who are going through a difficult time.

“Because of the recent political situation in Venezuela, COGLA is gathering the Venezuelan pastors at the border of Colombia to hold a special service to minister to them and bless them with groceries and an offering,” Marcial stated. For security purposes, the date and location of the meeting are not being disclosed to the public.

Donations for this initiative are being encouraged. For churches and individuals who wish to participate and financially bless one or more Venezuelan pastors, the account of the Church of God Latin America in World Missions is enabled to receive donations for this project. Please visit www.cogwm.org/give. Donations can also be mailed to Church of God World Missions, P.O. Box 8016, Cleveland, TN 37320-8016. Please reference the Project #101-9056: Latin America Harvest. “Special thanks to the Church of God in the United States for their support to World Missions so that they in turn support the Church of God in Venezuela,” Marcial stated. “We believe that God will work in CONNECTION and it will be a time of revitalization for the Venezuelan Church.”
