Executive Council, Task Forces in Session This Week

January 22, 2019–Cleveland, TN—The Church of God International Executive Council will be in regular session beginning Tuesday night as they gather for a dinner function with members of special task forces.

The Task Forces, formed in response to action taken at the 77th International General Assembly last summer, are meeting at multiple locations across the International Offices campus today. This is the first formal gathering of the ten groups, which are tasked with bringing reports back to the 78th General Assembly in July 2020.

The Task Forces include a chairperson and at least three other members. They deal with a number of referred items from the Assembly and issues pertinent to the Church of God. The Task Forces meeting this week (and chairpersons) include: Visional Actualization (Sean O’Neal), Structural Acclimation (Gary Lewis), Ministerial Activation (Bryan Cutshall), Generational Assimilation (Tom Madden), Aging of Ministry (Gerald McGinnis), Spiritual Acceleration and Core Values (Mark Williams), International Executive Council Bylaw Issues (referred item, Michael Baker), Tenure of Youth and Discipleship Director (referred item, Terry Hart), Actualization of Global Context of Ministry (referred item, David Griffis), Study Series for Kids and Students (referred item, Tony Lane).

The International Executive Council begins their regularly scheduled January session on Wednesday. They will gather in the Executive Council Chambers at the Leadership and Communications Center.
