Free Webinars Set for Later This Month

The Religious Alliance Against Pornography (RAAP) and the Church of God are partnering once again to sponsor a free webinar.

“Unashamed-Pornography, Shame and the Healing Community” is scheduled to be offered on two different dates: Tuesday, October16 at noon EDT and Tuesday, October 23 at 8:00 pm EDT

“Unashamed-Pornography, Shame and the Healing Community” are jointly sponsored by the Church of God departments of Men’s Discipleship and Women’s Discipleship and the Religious Alliance Against Pornography. Men’s Discipleship is headed by Wayne Brewer and Women’s discipleship by Pamela Brewer respectively.

Josh McDowell, a renowned Christian apologist and author comments, “I would personally say from all my knowledge now that pornography is probably the greatest threat to the cause of Christ in the history of the world. It’s that serious.” According to McDowell, over 40 percent of women and 60 percent of men are dealing with sexual addictions. About 80 percent of 15-17 year olds have been exposed to hardcore porn.

“We strongly encourage pastors, laity, men’s groups, women’s groups and anyone who is serious about fighting this problem to take advantage of this free one-hour webinar,” Wayne Brewer stated. “This webinar (presented by Dr. John Vining and Rev. John Comstock) will examine the role of shame, especially in relation to the promises of intimacy that pornography promises but never delivers. It will explore the essential characteristics of a healing community, along with key principles to help people gain freedom from the damage of pornography.”
