Pray for Bangkok to be a City of Light

To accomplish the Send the Light to the Cities vision of Church of God International Director of World Missions Dr. David M. Griffis, special prayer must be focused on Bangkok, Thailand becoming a true City of Light … the Light of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

Bangkok recently hosted the Legacy Conference (passing the baton to the next generation) where leaders and pastors from Southeast Asia gathered to receive training and ministry. The conference far-exceeded all expectations as approximately 130 pastors and leaders attended from Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia.

Griffis stated, “With a population of over eight million, Bangkok almost seems as an insurmountable task, but God is at work and veteran national overseer, Dr. Somnuk Montrelerdrasme, stands strong at his post of duty.”

“Pray for the people of Bangkok that their eyes and ears will be opened to receive God’s truth,” Griffis continued. “Pray for the church pastors and leaders in Bangkok to be dynamically led by God’s Holy Spirit; pray for doors to be opened to allow expansion of spreading the Gospel; pray for laborers and the strength and wisdom to minister; pray for the Light to dispel the severe spiritual darkness in Bangkok; and for their multitude of temples to become the temples of God!”
