Daffe Has Book On Worship Published

Dr. Jerald Daffe, professor of pastoral studies at Lee University, recently had his newest book, “The Worship God Wants: Showtime, My Time or His Time,” published by Pathway Press.

According to Daffe, the book examines biblical, historical, philosophical, and practical perspectives on the worship God deserves and demands.

“The concept of worship is tossed around so freely without in-depth biblical and theological perspective,” said Daffe. “This book takes the reader through a brief history of the worship renewal, a theological perspective of worship, and a practical application of various segments.”

Author and educator French L. Arrington provided the foreword for Daffe’s book. “God wants the best of our ability in both worship and service,” writes Arrington. “God has given us His best in His beloved Son and our Savior. May this excellent book motivate us to give to God our best as we worship and serve Him.”

In addition to teaching, Daffe serves as coordinator of the pastoral ministries major at Lee. His areas of specialty are revivalism, worship, Church of God history, and the Emerging Church. He was a recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award at Lee in 1990 and the Excellence in Advising in 1999.

He is a member of the International Church of God Doctrine and Polity Committee.

This is the ninth book of Daffe’s to be published since his arrival at Lee 31 years ago.

Chapters are intentionally short to encourage readability and application, according to Daffe.
