Madu Added as Assembly LEAD Speaker

The 77th International General Assembly of the Church of God will take place July 31 – August 3, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. A “pre-Assembly” conference entitled LEAD is set for Monday afternoon, July 30.

It has been previously announced that Rev. Robert Morris, pastor in Southlake, Texas, would be one of the four speakers, however, a serious health crisis has prompted his physicians to recommend curtailment of Morris’ travels for the next few months.

Madu

Church of God General Overseer Tim Hill recently announced that Morris’ replacement will be Robert Madu, a dynamic preacher/teacher who is described as presenting the gospel in such a unique and dynamic way, “that you’re leaning in, holding on to every word that is spoken, as he paints the beauty of the transforming, powerful, life-giving, Word of God.” He serves on the teaching team at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas.

Madu will join previously announced speakers Sam Chand, Leon Fontaine, and Rae Orozco. In addition Dave Martin has been secured to serve as facilitator for the event.

LEAD is a preview of the lineup of speakers who will be part of the General Assembly, set to take place in the Orange County Convention Center West Concourse. The list includes: Tony Evans (Tuesday PM), Juan A. Garcia (Wednesday PM), Jentezen Franklin (Thursday PM), and a Friday evening presentation by the general overseer highlighting the “Jeremiah Generation.” The women’s event—International Faith*Fire*Freedom Celebration—on Wednesday morning will feature the ministry of Joyce Rodgers.
