Founder of MWOA, PCL Bob Pace Passes Away

Robert D. (Bob) Pace, Sr., who founded both Men and Women of Action and People for Care and Learning, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

The two organizations are independent, but have roots in the Church of God when they were founded. Both continue to have a profound impact on the benevolent and disaster relief efforts as both partner with the denomination on numerous projects throughout the year.

“The Church of God has lost a true servant leader with the passing of Bob Pace,” stated Church of God General Overseer Tim Hill. “The vision he had to reach the lost and disenfranchised of the world in a practical way will carry on because of his dedicated leadership and untiring service to the Kingdom of God. Bob believed in not only preaching the gospel, but making the Gospel practical by doing good for others. He will be greatly missed, but the organizations and ministries he started will continue his legacy for decades to come. Truly another soldier of the cross has made it home.”

Pace was the founder and director of Men and Women of Action from 1983-2000 when he retired and started People for Care and Learning, a ministry with a primary emphasis on Southeast Asia. .Although Brother Pace stepped down from the day-to-day activities of both ministries several years ago, he still had a heart for the outreach of both and regularly participated in advising and consulting with MWOA and PCL.

“Bob was my boss from 1993-2000, but he was a very dear and special man to me and my family,” stated Teddie Bennett of MWOA. “Bob traveled the world leading MWOA building teams and helping those in need. He was one the greatest ambassador’s for Christ for the Church of God. His love for people was unmatched. He was a true Man of Action!”
Clara Pace, Bob Pace’s wife of 66 years, went to be with the Lord just one month ago.
