Three Hispanic Educational Ministries Form Partnership
On Wednesday, May 31, 2017, a historic event in Church of God Hispanic/Latino global education took place.
On that day, Dr. Michael Baker, President of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary and chancellor for the Division of Education for Church of God, offered some background words on the main goal of the Global Education Initiative that emerged during the last General Assembly of the Church of God held in July 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.
The event refers to the signing of two documents of educational understanding by the representative leadership of various Latino educational institutions and entities of the Church of God on a global level. Among the signers on this occasion are Baker and Dr. Enrique Adrián De Jesús, director of the Department of Hispanic Educational Ministries in the United States and Canada (USAMEH).
One of the agreements between USAMEH and the South American Seminary in Quito, Ecuador, highlights the joint administration of a practical online program (enrichment module) in Church Planting. The other agreement between USAMEH and the Biblical Seminary in Mexico, responds to needs of equivalences and transfer of credits in addition to the continuation of studies at a higher level. These and other challenges are emerging as a result of the mobilization of Hispanic migratory groups in these surrounding areas of Mexico. The main goal of these alliances is to unify offerings from the educational institutions of the Church of God globally to exchange human and material resources, strengthen interpersonal and inter-institutional relations of the denomination, and foster focused curricular integration toward specialized ministries.
The signed agreements are a strategic action step according to the FINAL Commitment contextualized to Hispanic Education in the United States of America and other Latin countries. It represents another fruit of the team effort of Hispanic Education Ministries and fellow presidents of sister institutions of the Church of God in Latin America.

Alianzas interinstitucionales de la Iniciativa de Educación Global: Ministerios Educacionales Hispanos en Estados Unidos, SEMISUD y SEBIME
El miércoles, 31 de mayo de 2017 se hizo evidente un acto histórico en la educación hispano/latino global. A manera de preludio, el Dr. Michael Baker ofreció unas palabras de trasfondo acerca de la meta principal de la Iniciativa Global de Educación que surgió durante la pasada Asamblea General de la Iglesia de Dios Internacional celebrada en el mes de julio de 2016 en la ciudad de Nashville, estado de Tennessee, EE.UU.
El evento se refiere a la firma de dos documentos de entendimiento educativo por el liderazgo representativo de varias instituciones y entidades educativas latinas de la Iglesia de Dios a nivel global. Entre los firmantes en esta ocasión figuran el Dr. Michael Baker, canciller de la División de Educación y presidente del Seminario Teológico Pentecostal, y el Dr. Enrique Adrián De Jesús, director del Departamento de Ministerios Educacionales Hispanos en Estados Unidos y Canadá (USAMEH).
Uno de los acuerdos entre USAMEH y el Seminario Sudamericano en Quito, Ecuador, resalta la administración conjunta de un programa online práctico (módulo de enriquecimiento) en Plantación de Iglesias. El otro acuerdo entre USAMEH y el Seminario Bíblico en México, responde a necesidades de equivalencias y transferencia de créditos además de la continuación de estudios a nivel superior. Estos y otros desafíos emergen a raíz de la movilización de grupos migratorios hispanos a dichas zonas circundantes de México. La meta principal de estas alianzas consiste en unificar ofrecimientos de las instituciones educativas de la Iglesia de Dios a nivel global para intercambiar recursos humanos y materiales, fortalecer relaciones interpersonales e interinstitucionales de la denominación, y fomentar la integración curricular enfocada hacia ministerios especializados.
Los acuerdos firmados son un paso de acción estratégica según el Compromiso FINAL contextualizado a la educación hispana en Estados Unidos de América y otros países latinos. Representa otro fruto del digno esfuerzo en equipo de Ministerios Educacionales Hispanos y colegas presidentes de instituciones hermanas de la Iglesia de Dios en Latinoamérica. ¡A Dios sea toda gloria, honor y majestad expresado a través de la unidad de su pueblo para extender la buena noticia de su Reino en esta tierra!
