Website to Christians: Let Your Faith Show
By Allie Martin, OneNewsNow
The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention has unveiled a new website in an effort to help Christians live out their values in a secular nation.
The website — ILiveValues.com — was recently assembled as a follow-up to the ERLC website IVoteValues.com. The site is designed to encourage Christians to live out their values and beliefs on a daily basis in their neighborhoods, homes, and communities.
Dwayne Hastings, a vice president with the ERLC, says Christians must live out their values throughout the year — and not only on Election Day. “Obviously, if we all did that as believers, this country would be a far different country than it is now,” he believes.
According to Hasting, the site offers audio, print, and blog resources for people interested in learning about the issues. It also features podcasts and other media resources. “…[S]o it’s kind of a multi-dimensional site,” he notes.
The ERLC is also spearheading a campaign called “40 Days of Prayer,” which starts September 24 and runs through October 31.
