Firewall Project Africa Experiences Worldwide Growth

The last several months have been an eventful time as the Firewall expands its reach and presses on, growing at exponential rates. The organization continues to celebrate the launch of Global Fire Advance, which grew out of Firewall Project Africa and incorporates the same Heart of Man chart as well as training in multiplication church planting.

“God is so good! He is on the move in big ways in Africa,” said a spokesperson with the project. “He is so faithful as He guides these leaders while they go through training and reach out to their communities.”

The following are highlights from some of the 44 countries where the Firewall Project is present on the continent of Africa:

Cameroon– 35 leaders attended kickoff of a new training stream;

Togo– Training resumed after being disrupted by Ebola; leaders still were able to plant 50 new churches. 132 were reached with the Heart of Man chart in just an hour and 35 of those accepted Jesus;

Kenya– 27 churches planted in the last six months. Pastors at that training stream met in a small iron church with no air conditioning, carpet, or sound system in extreme heat after most spent two days traveling by bus to get there;

Angola– A new training stream kicked off with 167 leaders in attendance from 18 provinces. In the first day alone, 817 were reached with the Gospel using the Heart of Man chart and 187 accepted Jesus;

Madagascar– Thirty-seven pastors attended Phase B training. They planted 56 churches in the last six months, bringing their region’s total to 81 churches in the last 18 months;

Mozambique– In the midst of the northern war zone, 64 leaders still made the journey to attend Phase E training. Most traveled by train, which was attacked and several couldn’t attend because they had to go into hiding in the bush since the military is looking for them;

Chad– There has been no church planting for over 30 years here for many denominations, but now 147 new churches have been planted.

West Africa– A new training stream kicked off with leaders from 7 West African countries, most of which are very hostile towards Christianity.

Please keep these and all the Firewall leaders in prayer. To learn more about the Firewall Project, visit www.africafirewall.com.
