‘GO’ Music Project Being Unveiled at General Assembly

As was done in 2014, a special compilation of music has been assembled and will be unveiled in Nashville next week at the 76th Church of God International General Assembly.

Featuring musicians and singers with Church of God and Lee University roots, under the leadership and production of Bradley Knight, this music is full of anointing, purpose, and Spirit-filled passion. Special guest artists include Janna Long and Jeremi Richardson from the Dove-Award winning group, Avalon, modern hymnist Kristyn Getty, American Idol finalist Phil Stacey, former Avalon member Jody McBrayer, standout Nashville session singer Shelly Justice, and veteran worship leaders David & Nicole Binion, John and Joslyn Brockman, Curtis and Charmaine Bridgeman, and Jonathan Ernstly Etienne.

Knight, a Lee University alumnus and sought-after producer in contemporary Christian music circles said, “From the opening strains of ‘We Welcome You with Praise’ to the final declaration of “We Go to All the World,’ GO is a thrilling worship experience centered around the Great Commission, with anthems of praise that are sure to propel the church forward in the calling of Christ.”

Much of the background vocals are performed by current members of the Lee Singers, led by director, Dr. Brad Moffett.

“This project has been created to provide musical resources for the local church for worship and inspiration toward our shared mission, ‘GO,’” Moffett stated. “Evangelism has been the heartbeat of the Church of God since its inception, and as we reaffirm our commitment to reach the world for Christ, Bradley Knight and a host of worship leaders have joined to give a song to our mission.”

Moffett went on to say that portions of the CD will be performed on Friday evening, July 22, by a mass choir. There will be a 4:30 p.m. rehearsal for the 7:00 p.m. concluding service of the Assembly that evening.

The music of “GO” will be available for purchase at the Church of God Marketplace booth in the exhibit hall, as well as outside the entrance to the worship venue (Halls B and C) of the Music City Center prior to and following the evening services.
