Update on Firewall Project Africa

The number of new congregations being planted through the Church of God Firewall Project is growing exponentially!

Since its inception two years ago, some 1,200 new congregations have been started, typically with brand-new believers in Christ. The African pastors are turning into firebrands for the Gospel, bringing God’s message of hope, peace and life to some of the darkest corners of the continent.

During last spring and summer, training seminars for church planters were convened in Madagascar, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Chad, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda and Zambia, with some 60 pastors and evangelists participating in each. For the first time, trainers from the US shared in the effort and will lead the follow-up training seminars in West and East Africa.

The Firewall Project Africa is an initiative of Men and Women of Action in cooperation with the leadership of the Church of God in Africa, under the auspices of Church of God World Missions, Cleveland, Tennessee. Individuals and churches are invited to share in the work and blessing of raising a firewall of God’s Spirit, grace and love across the African continent.
