World Missions, USA Missions Participate in Music Video
Church of God International Offices employees from World Missions, USA Missions and Communications are featured in a new music video entitled “Empty Pews.”
World Missions director Tim Hill said, “Gospel music lovers will absolutely love the newly-released music video ‘Empty Pews’ by gospel recording artists Back Home with Scott Fowler.” Hill introduced the video and the lyricist Jennifer Layne and her husband, Jimmy, at a special preview on August 4 at the International Offices.
The song captures the heart of many pastors and those serving in ministry. Filmed on site at the North Cleveland Church of God, the “pastor” is portrayed by Coordinator of Public Relations and Conference Management and State Representative Kevin Brooks, while the concerned church janitor is played by Tim Hill. Employees represent the congregation.
“There is something here that speaks about the need to follow God and your calling—the drive to please so many people and yet the disappointment when you are not able to. Healing flows through these lyrics,” Hill stated.
“One Name” is the second album by Jimmy and Jennifer Layne that a portion of the proceeds will benefit the World Missions project “Marcelly’s Dream” which provides the Word, water, walls, and wellness to all children and peoples of the world. Marcellysdream.org gives more information about this endeavor to change the world of children through the love of God.
Project Number: 102-9275.
