Hook Up, Stay Connected!
The Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries (ASCM) recently had a retreat at the Rizal Re-Creation Center. The relaxing atmosphere and sumptuous food was a welcomed treat, but the real blessing was the way the Lord weaved the messages together to create continuity and flow, as if the speakers had discussed their messages with each other prior to the retreat.
The theme: HOOK UP, STAY CONNECTED! was definitely achieved by the inspiring messages that were shared. The altar (for both altar calls) was filled by students weeping before the Lord and receiving a touch from Him. After the evening service, the students didn’t want to leave; they seemed to want to linger in the presence of God. After a time of silence and prayer, the students were teary eyed.
The worship times were, as always, heart felt, moving and refreshing. Despite ourselves, God indeed always ministers when we need Him. The three worship sessions were led by a student (David Hla), a faculty member (Doreen Benavidez) and Ptr. Albert Clavo’s wife, Sis. Barbara (from Lighthouse Christian Community).
Roce Anog. Dean of Students, ASCM
