Giving Forward
By Ronda Winn
Last year I took a team of six people to Uganda. We conducted a women’s conference, ministering to and feeding about 400 women. We heard many testimonies of healings and salvation. Also, we hosted a conference for more than 700 pastors and leaders from Rwanda, Congo, Kenya, Sudan and Burundi. It was a great time of encouragement and fellowship in the Lord.
We were also able to purchase a much needed sound system for the Kamwokya Church of God, pastored by Solomon Mukonjo. Pastor Mukonjo has testified that the equipment and ministry at his church are drawing people in that poor community into the church. They are experiencing revival!
Currently, I am raising funds to purchase fishing boats to be shared by pastors in certain communities along the Nile and Lake Victoria. This will not only give the pastors an income, but will also help them provide food for their families. The guideline is that these pastors will share the boats and tithe from their income, which will bless the churches. Then, as their income grows and they are able, they will give their boat to another group of pastors in another community and purchase a new boat for themselves. Hopefully this “giving forward” will continue and bless many.
I also am working to purchase land and to build a Bible college. The men here are eager to grow in their knowledge of the Lord and desperately need a training facility.
