Church of God “App” Unveiled
Church of God Communications has released a new downloadable “app” for smartphones which will offer several innovative features for churches, pastors, and laypersons.
According to David Ray, director of Communications for the Church of God, the new app will allow for several functions not previously available on smartphones and tablet devices.
“We have partnered with the Bible and Journal App Company to get a free 30-day trial of the new Church of God custom church app builder,” Ray stated. “This means you can try out a custom app with your church’s look free for 30 days.”
The Church of God custom app platform is loaded with several features, such as versions of the Bible, a journal with note-taking capabilities, podcast player, calendar, online giving and more.
“It contains a Bible reading plan that helps you get the whole church reading or listening to the Word of God together,” Ray continued. “We encourage you to try this app to help get the whole church doing devotions together this year.”
For credentialed ministers and church treasurers who report monthly to the International Offices, the new app contains the functionality to be complete this process via a smartphone. The Church of God website will also be linked with the new app, as well as a church locator, making finding a local Church of God congregation via your smartphone a reality.
Bible and Journal App Company was founded in 2010 “by pastors and for pastors with a heart to help churches better connect with today’s mobile culture, and ultimately help people daily connect with Jesus.” The purpose was with three “big things” in mind: to make church apps simple, valuable, and affordable.
