Plans Continue Toward Church Planters Gathering
The Church Planters Gathering, a free two-day conference to educate on effective church planting methods, will take place next week on November 20 and 21 at the Abundant Life Church in San Antonio, Texas.
As part of a global initiative to plant churches under a unified vision, the Church of God Global Church Planting Office announced the event several weeks ago. This conference will include panels on multi-ethnic and inter-generational church planting to break down the walls in the community and further the Gospel.
Conference speakers will include Church of God World Missions Director Tim Hill and Assistant Director John Childers. It is part of a unified approach with other regions, optimizing new churches to integrate into their host communities. This North American program joins similar programs such as the African Firewall Project and the Church This important conference will explore Church Planting in a dual track format. Current Church of God Church Planters and USA Hispanic Church Planters will share common elements while breakout sessions offer specific cultural applications.
Second and Third Generation Hispanic Church planters will explore crossing boundaries for multi-ethnic and inter-generational church planting. USA Church Planters will look closely at keeping Pentecostal distinctives in a modern style.
Beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, and ending following the evening service on Friday, November 21, the conference will feature outstanding speakers such as Juan Wagenveld of the Church Multiplication Network, Tony Stewart of citylife church, and many more. Intense fellowship, foundational topics, and vibrant inspiration will fortify both Hispanic church planters and those working with the Global Church Planting Office.
