LIVE TO SERVE aims to help ministry volunteers feel celebrated, inspired and empowered, all in the span of 210 minutes on a Saturday morning. The experience will be filled with fun, encouragement, laughter, unity, excitement and practical wisdom that will pump them up as they press on to give, love and serve others.
Guest speakers include Sue Miller, children’s ministry expert and author; Jim Wideman, innovator and a father of the modern children’s ministry movement; Adam Duckworth, Minister to Children and Families at First Baptist Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Amy Fenton, children’s ministry veteran and Orange Specialist; Matt McKee, social media strategist and long-time children’s ministry volunteer; and Jenna Kuykendall, singer, songwriter and worship leader.
Ministry staff may elect to stay for an afternoon session with Sue Miller, Jim Wideman, Matt McKee and Amy Fenton as they delve deeper into topics that matter most to those who lead ministries and groups of volunteers.
LIVE TO SERVE events will take place in Birmingham on February 21, Nashville on February 28, Cincinnati on March 7 and Norfolk on March 14, 2015.
Registration opens on Thursday, October 30. Volunteer tickets will be $25 and leader tickets will be $75. Pricing is good through January 31 before an increase, but those who register on Opening Day will additionally receive a Prioritizing Family series to share with their volunteers, plus a chance to win various prizes.
