Conference on Care Convening in South Africa
Compassion South Africa is a Conference on Care sponsored by Beyond Borders, in association with the Church of God’s Operation Compassion, Bethsaida Church of South Africa and Church of God Care Ministries. The conference is underway at the 10,000 member Bethsaida Church, pastored by Emmanuel Moodley.
Seminars and plenary sessions will be available for more than 100 pastors from throughout South Africa. Indian pastors and African pastors will join together for times of teaching and learning to care for their nation with the compassion of God. The event then moves to Tonga, South Africa for more training of native pastors and work at the Maranatha Children’s Home with Paul and Ellie van Zyl.
Church of God Assistant General Overseer Tim Hill is joined by Rev. Carl Richardson of Beyond Borders, Donnie Smith, Director of Care Ministries, Dave Lorency, Director of Operation Compassion, Ken Davis, Director of Stewardship, for the Church of God, Don Walker, Chairman of the World Missions Board, Gerald McGinnis Chairman of the Care Ministries Board, Judy Moore, Director of Widow’s Ministries and other church and business leaders and pastors from the United States and South Africa.
This is the third such Conference on Care. Previous locations have been held in Nashville, Tennessee and Atlanta, Georgia.
