USA Missions Partners With New Ministry Initiative

Dr. Jerry McNabb, a retired Church of God Navy Chaplain and Adjunct Professor at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, and Bishop Frederick Nichols, Senior Pastor at Harvest International Worship Center (MI) and Director of Ishmael’s Blessing International, have, over the last year, been developing plans for a new Islam Outreach Training “Ministry to Muslims.”

During this time they have provided this training stateside to churches in numerous states, district meetings, at the Church of God Jail and Prison Conference, Project Dearborn Outreach, and overseas in the nations of Turkey, Togo, and Liberia, Africa.  The ministry is under the auspices of the  Global Institute for Ministry and Training, a non-profit organization established by McNabb and Nichols to make Islam and outreach training available to churches, states, conventions and workshops around the America’s and overseas.  It also serves in strategic partnership with Church of God USA Missions, Dr. James Cossey, and Ishmael’s Blessing.

“Twenty-three percent of the world’s population is Muslim and only 20% of that number are Arabs that live in the Middle East,” McNabb said. “The remainder of these who claim Islam as their religion live in other countries around the world, including the United States.”  McNabb went on to say there are approximately 4 to 6 million in America, and that number may be as high as 10 million.  Very few organizations are reaching out to bring the Gospel to this people group.  One of these organizations is the Global Institute for Ministry and Training (GIMT), directed by McNabb and Nichols.

Dr. McNabb stated, “We must give one-fourth of the world’s population and God’s prodigal sons and daughters a chance to hear and respond to the Gospel and it can begin here at home, where we have the right and freedom to share the message of Eternal Life with our Muslim neighbor next door.”
