Marcelly Donors Provide Missionary Christmas
Christmas will be merrier for Church of God career missionaries in 2013.
For many years, career missionaries have been encouraged to withdraw funds from their personal missionary budget accounts for Christmas expenses for themselves and their families. In years of sparse income, that exchange of money has been difficult, at times impossible.
“Christmas this year will be happier for our front-line warriors,” explained Dr. Tim Hill, director of World Missions. “Thanks to caring donors who have given to World Missions and the Marcelly’s Dream initiative, we are able to tell missionaries we are sending them a Christmas gift that will not be subtracted from their personal accounts.”
Marcelly’s Dream encourages a holistic approach to ministry by providing the Word, water, walls, and wellness around the world.
“One of the goals of Marcelly’s Dream has been to advance our care for missionaries. A gift of love at Christmas is a meaningful way to express the great admiration we have for those who give so much of themselves around the world,” Dr. Hill said.
