Operation Compassion Sends Fifty Semis of Furniture Those in Need

For many years, Operation Compassion has worked with several partners in securing and delivering solid wood furniture to families in need. With the number of local disasters on the rise and international needs for children at an all-time high, the need for furniture has never been in greater need.

Since the first of this year, Operation Compassion, an independent benevolent organization with roots in the Church of God, has sent a total of 50 semi-trailers and/or containers to help refurnish homes. Beds, night stands, dressers, cabinets and desks are a few of the furnishings supplied. Many victims of Hurricane Sandy and the flooding in West Virginia received much of the furniture to help furnish their homes following the rebuilding process.

In addition, Operation Compassion sent containers to developing countries to help aid the plight of the poor. Dormitories, Bible schools, orphanages, senior adult centers and feeding centers were among the recipients.
