FOCUS Children’s Ministries Conference Slated for February

The annual FOCUS Children’s Ministries Leadership Conference celebrates its 19th year of continued training. The 2013 annual conference will be held February 28-March 2 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Greenville, South Carolina.

Beginning with the first conference in Ashville, North Carolina, the conference has continued to be a primary instrument for training local church children’s ministry leaders and workers. A full line-up of guest speakers, 32 workshops appealing to a wide variety of ministry areas, a track for Spanish-speaking leaders and many resource exhibitors will provide the opportunity for local church ministry leaders to be encouraged, trained, motivated, and inspired.  A children’s ministry training certification will also be offered to provide pastors the opportunity to send their children’s ministry leaders for specialized training certification.

The keynote speaker this year will be Brian Dollar of High Voltage Kids Ministry Resources.  Others special guests include Jeff Smith, Brett and Labrina Myers, and Brandon Rushin, a diversified line up of creative arts, illusions, and comedy.  Leading music will be Jagee, an engaging singer and performer. A special track will be offered this year to address ministry to children and families with special needs.  Amy Fenton Lee will be leading this specialized track.  She has equipped many churches to successfully include children with various neurological and physical differences.

“Pastors who desire greater effectiveness in reaching the 4/14 window will want to register their leaders and workers for this conference,” stated Tony Lane, coordinator of FOCUS. “Transform the next generation of leaders by reaching them now!  No investment is too great for this mission. The offices of Youth and Discipleship believe in training and are endeavouring to provide quality training for local church workers and leaders.”
