Stewart to Perform at Republican Convention
Kaci Stewart, who along with her husband Tony Stewart serve as pastors of the Church of God congregation, citylife Church in Tampa, FL, will perform on stage at the Republican National Convention this week. The citylife choir will also be featured during the nationwide, prime-time event.
“We received a rare and exciting phone call from the office of Bebe Winans last week,” Tony Stewart said. “The representative stated that Mr. Winans would be one of the entertainers for the 2012 Republican National Convention and then a once in a lifetime invitation occurred. Kaci was asked to perform with Bebe for a special performance of a song entitled, “America, America”, prior to Governor Mitt Romney’s acceptance of the Republican presidential nomination.” Additionally, for the finale of the RNC, as the balloons drop and the celebration commences, the citylife worship choir will sing the finale song of “America, the Beautiful” with Bebe Winans.
Kaci Stewart and the citylife choir will perform on Thursday, August 30 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. According to Tony, the convention will include approximately 15,000 credentialed media—an international press corps second only in size to this summer’s London Olympic Games—as well as a global audience through television, Internet and social media efforts.
