Missionary Offers “Unusual” Testimony
Darren Hooper recently traveled to Africa for Men and Women of Action (MWOA) where an item he wasn’t intending to bring came in very handy.

Four days before I was to fly out with Herm Clegg on a MWOA trip to Zambia, Herm emailed me and asked if I could find a “bee veil” for missionary Rodger Wikelund, who is thinking about “getting into the honey business.”
Two months ago I would have had no idea where to find one… plus there is no time to order it online, but PRAISE GOD just 60 days ago I acquired a new co-worker who’s hobby is beekeeping! So, I get the veil and we finally get to Africa and guess what…. the first work day we are supposed to remove a solar panel from atop a pole only to find a beehive is inside the pole… angry, African bees! Apparently, they had been poisoned once but had returned.
Well guess who brought a veil? REALLY PRAISE GOD! Wait, guess who also gets to don the veil and climb the ladder? This guy… So I put on several layers of clothes, requested prayer and shouldered the poison… “Nalipata Inshimu” – “I hate bees…” that’s the only Bemba I remember.
God took care of me though, no stings and no survivors… we wouldn’t have been able to do that particular project if God hadn’t prepared the way by having us bring a bee veil with us!
