Spirit Sound Music Announces Music Explosion 08

The 24th annual worship and music conference called Music Explosion has established itself as one of the nation’s premiere worship and music conferences. For three days, music ministers, church musicians and pastors both domestically and internationally will once again convene in Cleveland to receive collectively over 300 hours of instruction and training, be inspired by celebration and worship events and share experiences and exchange ministry ideas and concepts. The Department of Music Ministry for the Church of God has sponsored the conference every year since its beginning and has given extensive opportunities to many Christian artists and denominational musicians by providing a platform in which to model current, balanced musical and worship concepts.

Highlighting the list of special guests and clinicians this year are arranger and producer of Epcot’s Voices of Liberty, Derric Johnson, 9 time Singing News Favorite Male Vocalist Ivan Parker, well known Crabb Family singer and Dove winner and GRAMMY nominee Kelly Crabb Bowling, popular television artists and singing songwriting team David and Nicole Binion, Lee University’s own Voices of Lee, as well as others. A highlight of the week will be a special guest appearance by our very own recent American Idol finalist Phil Stacey. On the opening night of Music Explosion, the North Cleveland Crusader Choir will premier Pages of Life, a brand new choral work featuring the songs of Bishop Tim Hill, Second Assistant General Overseer for the Church of God. On Friday evening, six choirs from around the country will join together with praise and worship leaders for a live recording of a new project entitled, You Are Amazing!

Music Explosion begins February 20th through the 23rd and will be held at the North Cleveland Church of God in Cleveland TN. Early registration discounts are available until February 1, 2008. Information including schedules, tuition and more are available online at www.spiritsoundmusic.com or by calling the Department of Music Ministries at 423-478-7784.
