Response Extends ‘The Greatest Miracle’s’ Theatrical Run through Thursday
Movie to Movement (M2M) is proud to announce the extension of The Greatest Miracle’s theatrical release through Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011. The film was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, Oct. 16 as an initial limited release in theaters across the nation, but strong ticket sales–particularly in the Midwest–have caused M2M to add additional dates.
“I really think we’re deep in the Holy Spirit’s work here. I could never have anticipated the level of support and interest generated by our grassroots efforts around the country,” said George McGraw, Catholic outreach director for M2M. “This beautiful little film is truly blessed.”
Proceeds from tickets purchased through Movie to Movement benefit Dig Deep Water, with each ticket sold providing more than 400 days of clean water to one person in the South Sudan.
“Our focus now is to get the word out to parishes, prayer groups, civic organizations, Knights of Columbus councils and the like, so that they can still take part in the limited time event,” McGraw stated. “We know this film has changed people’s lives and the way they view their Catholic faith. It is our hope that by extending the initial release that it can have such a transformative effect on many more.”
The free ticket giveaway offered throughout the weekend will not be extended for the showings scheduled on Monday, Oct. 17 — Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011.

The Greatest Miracle is a 3D animated film that celebrates the beauty and mystical nature of the Catholic Mass in a dramatic presentation that follows the lives of three strangers—Monica, a mother struggling to raise her son after the death of her husband; Chema, a father struggling to come to grips with his child’s deadly diagnosis; and Cata, an elderly woman seeking peace—whose lives intersect one morning at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
