Ministerial Training Seminar Provides Instant Results
A Ministerial Training Seminar in Myebi, Tanzania that occurred on March 24-28, 2008, was led by Charles Karangwa, regional Christian Education coordinator of East Africa for the Church of God. Registered attendance was 241 ministers and church leaders. Reverend Karangwa taught the Certificate In Ministerial Training (CIMS) course Leading With Integrity. Then, 223 of these individuals also took the exams, so that they could receive CIMS credits.
Reverend Karangwa said, “I saw the good hand of the Lord at this seminar! People were so touched. Money that had been lost by one of the students was later found and brought back to the pulpit to be returned to the owner. This happened two times.”
He further states, “Towards the end of the seminar, the lessons from Leading With Integrity teach about conflict resolution and transformational leadership. After these lessons, eight pastors, who had made up their minds to leave the Church of God because of conflict with their district overseer, met with the national overseer and the district overseer. The conflict was resolved, and they hugged each other and agreed to work together as before.”
National Overseer Lazaro Mayala said, “Tanzania is such a huge country that holding one seminar a year is not enough. We need at least two seminars a year.”
Reverend Karangwa further states to the leaders of World Missions and the Division of Education, “I sincerely thank your for your prayers and financial support to help ground God’s people in His Word.”
