Ministries Today has released an article in their latest issue highlighting five churches experiencing growth and ministry. One of the five focused upon is Redemption Point Church in Ooltewah, Tennessee. In a sidebar article, two more Church of God congregations are featured: Abundant Life in San Antonio, and New Hope Church of God in Trenton. A 15-year-old girl who survived a shooting rampage that took the lives of her parents and all four of her siblings, spoke to a crowd Saturday, saying happiness can be found in the darkest of times. Her grandfather said she recalled feeling “as though angels were with her, putting her hands over her mouth and whispering her to be quiet.”
Stanley Monroe Horton, 98, of Springfield, Missouri, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Maranatha Village in Springfield.
