Last month a special dinner was hosted by the Pentecostal Theological Seminary and Dr. Oliver McMahan, for the Latin American Executive Committee and the Bishops of the Hispanic regions in the U.S. Also in attendance was leadership from the World Missions department, Dr. Tim Hill and Reverend John Childers. During the evening, Dr. Donnie Smith, executive administrator of the Care Ministries division, presented a check for $50,000 to Dr. David Ramirez in support of the Latin American Leadership Summit.

President Obama expressed his desire to see Gay Boys become Scouts; corporate America has threatened to stop funding the Boy Scouts if they do not lift the ban on gays. The U. S. Supreme Court upheld the ban in 2000. Nevertheless, On February 3, 2013, the president made pubic his beliefs regarding the Boy Scouts of America.

Short-term missions are effectively spreading the gospel and the love of Christ to nearly every corner of the world.
