“The world is in trouble. Everyone, especially young persons, should learn about our roots in gospel music to change the self-image of the community,” says Dr. Margaret Pleasant Douroux, founder of the Heritage Music Foundation.
It’s been 21 months since a catastrophic 7.1 earthquake devastated the already impoverished nation of Haiti. Since the earthquake, millions of dollars in aid seem to have done little to rebuild, or even clear the debris left from that horrific event. However, one private charity is forging ahead with its own recovery plans and has recently completed construction on a vibrant and bustling new village.
International Youth and Discipleship and Pathway Press are partnering together in the 7th annual Teacher of the Year award to be announced on Sunday, January 29, 2012.
