Gospel for Asia (GFA) and American Family Radio (AFR) recently kicked off an initiative that allows people to provide items for the poorest of the poor in India. In that country, people known as the Dalits — or untouchables — are considered subhuman by many. The shunned caste group has a population of over 300 million.
When a visit to the war-ravaged African nation of Liberia revealed that most of the 65 pastors who had survived the dreadful 15-year civil war were not only suffering hunger and lack, but that almost all of them had taken war orphans—from two to seven children each—into their homes, World Missions was able to make a grant equivalent to four months’ salary to each pastor.
