Mathura Stays Active as Pastor Into His Nineties

April 12, 2023–Rev. Sam Mathura of Greenville, S.C. passed away on April 7, 2023. At the time of his death at age 93, he was pastor of the Greenville Paris Church of God, a post he had served for the last 35 years, making him perhaps the oldest active pastor in the Church of God.

Cleveland, TN–On March 8, the 17th annual International Women of Courage Awards were presented at the White House in a ceremony hosted by First Lady Jill Biden and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The pair honored eleven persons with global representation for “exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in advocating for peace, justice, human rights, gender equity and equality, often at great personal risk and sacrifice.”
