Philadelphia, Pa.-The anniversary of America’s declared independence from Great Britain in 1776, observed on “the Fourth of July,” is a celebration that has deep roots in the American tradition–many people displayed the American flag on their homes and expressed gratitude for the freedom and liberties fought by the first generation of many of today’s Americans–a patriotic holiday for celebrating the positive aspects of the United States.

On Friday, June 8, an estimated 2000 people attended the Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally in the Santa Ana Civic Center, the largest in the Western U.S., according to organizers. More than 160 cities across the nation hosted rallies protesting the Health and Human Services Mandate which forces employers to cover controversial medications and female sterilization, without appropriate exemptions for those morally opposed to them.
