During the late afternoon of April 28, 2008, three tornadoes touched down in the southeast coastal area of Virginia. Within a matter of minutes, more than 200 people were injured, 60 critically and many others seriously injured. Approximately 125 homes were destroyed or deemed inhabitable and 10 other buildings were destroyed.
Recently the Lake Witten Worship Center Church of God was part of a exciting and powerful Community Revival. Five different Pastors and Congregations from various denominations including Methodist, Freewill Baptist, Assembly of God, and Church of God came together for five nights of Revival Services. Each church took a turn in hosting the services and each pastor preached at a different church.
