On October 30, over 700 theaters nationwide debuted Director Rick Altizer’s new documentary, “I Still Believe.” The film chronicles the life of one of Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music’s all-time vocal legends, Russ Taff, by outlining his childhood, rise to stardom, subsequent hidden struggle with alcohol, and ultimately his path to recovery. “I Still Believe” is not only a story of redemption, but one that also shares the intimate tale of the unending support of his wife, Tori, his family, friends, and the Christian community as a whole.

This Sunday, November 4, 2018, the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas, will be commemorating the lives of those who perished during the tragic shooting that took place a year ago. Set to be among the attendees are Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Dr. Jim Richards, Executive Director of the SBCT. Also at this special service will be Sergeant Juan Ignacio Macias, the oldest son of Bishop Juan Ignacio Macias, Church of God national evangelist.
Last Saturday at the Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh, a man armed with an assault rifle and three handguns interrupted the worship service shouting, “All Jews must die!” He then killed 11 people, including a 97-year-old woman, Rose Mallinger. Her family fully expected her to live to be 100.
DENTON, Texas — According to Psalm 50, the cattle on a thousand hills belong to God, and a Texas church is rounding some of them up to feed his people. The range-riding Cattle Ministry begun at Denton Bible Church (DBC, www.dentonbible.org) is believed to be the only one of its kind in the country, providing free, high-quality ground beef to those in need.
As one of the recent added cities to Church of God World Missions’ Send the Light to the Cities emphasis, Tokyo, Japan, was a challenge in earlier days to gain ground for the Church of God in this large metropolis where the population exceeds 13 million—an area where strategically the light needs to shine the most.
