February 28, 2012–Lovell R. Cary, 83, veteran Church of God missionary and denominational leader, passed away last night, Monday, February 27, in Cleveland, Tennessee.

From our earliest international efforts to today’s vibrant office of Black Ministries, men and women of African descent have been integral to Church of God ministries for more than a century. Some examples reveal the long-term importance of our black leaders.

“Missio Nexus,” a new cooperative missions network, has been launched as the umbrella association for world missions efforts from North America. Until recently, two associations of missions agencies and denominations have operated in the United States and Canada: CrossGlobal Link (formerly IFMA) and The Mission Exchange (formerly EFMA). Church of God World Missions is a founding member of the former EFMA.

February 27, 2012–Men and Women of Action (MWOA), a Church of God-sponsored disaster relief and construction agency, recently completed a mobile unit which will assist in future emergencies and disaster re-build projects.
