Category: Discipleship & Evangelism

Leading liturgical publisher OCP’s newest mobile eBook offers Catholic music directors and choir members everywhere a wireless way to connect with, prepare for, and participate in the Liturgy.

“The days of carrying heavy, bulky songbooks are quickly passing,” says Paul Raspa, manager of online Products and Services. “Our customers are moving to lightweight tablets at a brisk pace. Since most of our choir music has been available in PDF format for a number of years, we’re excited to expand our digital offerings to include entire songbooks in this convenient eBook format.”

Following their first mobile eBook, Respond and Acclaim 2013, OCP has announced the arrival of its largest eBook to date, Choral Praise, Third Edition with Lectionary Readings — offering a wide variety of choral arrangements for songs found in each of OCP’s Today’s Missal and Breaking Bread missal programs at the swipe of a finger.

Including over 555 choral arrangements and harmonies alongside full scripture readings for the entire 3-year liturgical cycle, the eBook version of Choral Praise, Third Edition with Lectionary Readings also offers an interactive table of contents making it a convenient tool for both choir rehearsal and planning.

“Bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all is a very real and integral part of our mission,” says OCP publisher, John Limb. “We’ve heard the call to a new evangelization and seen our friends in ministry utilize tablets and other mobile devices to aid in their worship preparation. As a not-for-profit servant of the Catholic church, we are overjoyed to offer eBooks as a more convenient way for our customers to further inspire and engage their assemblies.”

Next on the digital horizon for OCP is the mobile eBook version of the record-selling hymnal, JourneySongs, Third Edition — set to be available in summer of 2013.

To celebrate these first mobile eBook titles, OCP is giving customers a chance to win copies of Respond and Acclaim 2013, Choral Praise, Third Edition with Lectionary Readings as well as one of the first copies of JourneySongs, Third Edition.
