Every month he takes them downtown to feed homeless people at a park near Johns Hopkins University. On hot summer days he takes teams to the worst neighborhoods of his city to pray for people, share the gospel and distribute bottles of water.

Mississippi Church Sponsors Successful “Stuff the Bus” Event

Last year members of Morgantown Church of God in Morgantown, Mississippi collected school supplies for one area school. This year they expanded their vision and brought a community together for a “Stuff the Bus” event. Almost $3,700 was raised in cash in addition to numerous school supplies donated by individuals and local businesses. Four area schools will benefit as a result.

The Church of God Care Campus in Sevierville, Tennessee, which includes the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home (SMCH) and Iris B. Vest Widows Ministry Center (WMC) look forward to the blessing of having work groups visit the campus during the summer months. One of the groups is from Pennsylvania. Pastor Jeff Hathaway, Greene Valley Church of God, and Pastor Adam Kidwell from the Claysburg Church of God join forces to make an incredible team of workers to include adults and their youth. This year, they had twenty-two (22) people who participated.
