United Methodist Pastor Reinstated

A regional appeals committee of the United Methodist Church has reinstated the clergy credentials of a former pastor who was recently defrocked for performing a same-sex union ceremony. Frank Schaefer refused to henceforward respect the church’s policies forbidding such ceremonies. Schaefer’s Eastern Pennsylvania congregation experienced rapid decline and tumultuous division before his removal from the pulpit late last year.

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed by a bipartisan majority The WWII Memorial Prayer Act (S1044). The Ohio Christian Alliance would like to commend the bill’s sponsors, Senator Rob Portman (OH) and Senator Mary Landrieu (LA), and Congressman Bill Johnson of Ohio’s 6th District, who was the House sponsor for their support of this historic legislation that will add FDR’s D-Day Landing prayer to the WWII memorial in Washington D.C.

One day her tongue started to swell and she couldn’t catch her breath. She was rushed to the hospital, her airway was forced open, and they stuck an IV in her arm to start pumping in the nutrients she needed. After saving her life, the medical staff sent her home, but not before they warned her that she needed to change her diet or prepare herself for an early death.
