Friday, March 11, 2016–Knoxville, TN–The Church of God’s largest single youth event is taking place this weekend as thousands of youth and youth leaders gather at the Thompson-Boling Arena on the campus of the University of Tennessee.

The weekend of April 2 – 3, 2016 has been designated as the 26th Annual “Just Pray NO!” to drugs Worldwide Weekend of Prayer and Fasting. Since April 7th, 1991 “Just Pray NO!” has united Christians from around the world in intercessory prayer on behalf of the addicted and their families.

The National Week of Repentance, a grassroots movement born out of a Pennsylvania pastor and radio host’s burden for our nation, calls Judeo-Christian individuals, families and houses of worship to humble themselves in prayer, genuine confession, apologies, forgiveness and true repentance—instead of pointing accusing fingers at each other and at Washington. April 3-10, Godfactor Founder and Grace Fellowship Lead Pastor Michael Anthony will launch the national event from his vibrant, faith-filled church in York, PA, where more than 400 people have made decisions to follow Christ as savior in the last three years. A graduation celebration was held recently at the Sidama Ministry Center of the Harvest Church of God near Hawassa in southern Ethiopia, Africa. Directing the occasion were National Overseer Hiruy Tsige and lead teacher Altaseb Gudeta.

Monday, April 4 at 6:30 p.m., the Awakening America Alliance will be hosting an inspirational evening with Stephen Kendrick, sharing about the power of prayer to impact a nation. The event will take place at Embassy Suites in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In response to a U.S. State Department investigation of the Islamic State’s genocidal crimes in Iraq and Syria, The Philos Project – in a coordinated effort with the Iraqi Christian Relief Council, Assyrian Aid Society of America and the American Mesopotamian Organization – calls on Secretary of State John F. Kerry and the State Department to fully and unequivocally recognize the so-called Islamic State’s unmistakable campaign of genocide against the Assyrian Christians in that region.

Bible scholars know little about the early life of Jesus but that hasn’t stopped filmmakers from blending fact with fiction. The upcoming March 11th release of “The Young Messiah” is no exception yet it’s unfair to paint all productions with this brush. “The Jesus Film” (1979) and some portions of “Jesus of Nazareth” (1977) accurately depict the angelic visitation to Mary as well as Jesus’ three-day temple court experience (Luke 2:41-50). After Jerusalem, the Bible tells us little about Jesus until the age of thirty (See Luke 2:51-52).

In early October, 2015, a series of storms created some of the worst flooding ever experienced in South Carolina. For several weeks, Operation Compassion delivered semi-trucks loaded with disaster relief supplies that included bottled water, food, blankets, hygiene and cleaning buckets, to mention only a few.
