Announces 2007 Annual Conference “Running Scared: Fear, Worry & the God of Rest”

For the sixth year, Revival Fires Ministries is sponsoring Truth for Youth Week. The week-long program puts a special emphasis on getting New Testament Bibles into American schools.

Kibera is the name given to the largest slum in Africa. It is located on the outskirts of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Although population estimates differ, most will agree that there are over 2 million people living in the slum. It has been said that of these, 900,000 are children and half of them are orphans. AIDS is the main reason for so many orphans. Their parents died of the dreaded disease and they are left with family members who are not able to care for them or who do not want to care for them. The kids are usually left to fend for themselves.

Coming from over 70 nations, 45,000 Pentecostal and charismatic believers recently gathered at the Bethany Indonesia Church in Surabaya, Indonesia for the 21st Pentecostal World Conference.

Jamaica damage

A few days ago, the National Weather Service confirmed that it was only a matter of time before the hurricane season would begin producing moderate to severe storms in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean. After a season and a half of little production, two storms developed wrecking havoc.

On Saturday, August 25 from 9:00-11:00 AM, a massive protest will take place at the nation’s largest Planned Parenthood facility located at 3051 E. New York St. in Aurora, Illinois set to open on September 18th. The protest, organized by the Pro- Life Action League, is being promoted by local and national pro-life groups including the Illinois chapter of Concerned Women of America, Illinois Citizens for Life, Illinois Right to Life, Priests for Life and Operation Rescue. The National Organization for Women (NOW) has promised to counter-protest.
