Lawyers for Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan and Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, will appear before a three-Judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals this morning at 9 a.m. to urge that a lower court ruling that Illinois begin producing “Choose Life” specialty license plates be overturned.

A 3-acre Cleveland, Tennessee elementary school campus was sold at public auction earlier this month and the buyer was the 79 year-old school’s neighbor, Lee University.

The problems for Richard Roberts started about two months ago when three former faculty members launched a lawsuit accusing their leader of a variety of things, including forcing students to be involved in a political campaign. The professors also made several claims regarding Roberts’ alleged use of university money to support a lavish lifestyle for him and his family.

More than 125 Gospel for Asia Compassion Services missionaries and volunteers are on the scene in Bangladesh, reaching out to people affected by Cyclone Sidr. They are distributing food, blankets and other emergency supplies to those affected by the storm.

Last Friday 700 people gathered for the National Media Prayer Breakfast at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., to pray for the end of the two-week writers’ strike that has halted production on many Hollywood studios, reported the Associated Press (AP).
