The bi-ennial world missions service is one of the most anticipated events at the Church of God International General Assembly. At the end of this month, the World Missions service will be held on July 29.
By Janet Price, Church of God World Missions
World Missions night! How can 100 years of our marvelous heritage be sufficiently acknowledged in just one service? Living in the fulfillment of the last days prophecy of scripture, our horizons hold great promise. The theme, therefore, for the World Missions service is “Heritage and Horizons,” encompassing our past and the future. Assistant General Overseer and World Evangelization Liaison Tim Hill will deliver a powerful missions message.
The missions year-round emphasis has full impact when flags and missionaries from every nation stream from multiple entrances of the huge auditorium of the convention center, accompanied by inspiring music and video presentations. One cannot help but feel the urgency of winning lost souls to Jesus Christ.
The World Missions offering focus this Assembly is Children of the World, targeting the many orphanages, feeding programs, and ministries to children around the globe. The Church of tomorrow needs to secure the children for today!
Everyone will be given an opportunity to become part of this dynamic mission. Please join us with open hearts and determination not only to change the lives of children for Jesus’ sake, but to stand ready to complete the Great Commission before our Lord’s return.
